About the Chamber
The Moulton Chamber of Commerce is proud to represent “The Friendly Little City with a Heart as Big as Texas.” Our core purpose is to promote our businesses, the City of Moulton and tourism.
The Moulton Chamber of Commerce is involved with numerous projects and activities throughout the year.
In February, the Miss Moulton Pageant is held to determine the Moulton Royal Court for that respective year. With donations from sponsors, we are proud to say that we now give a $1,000 to our Miss Moulton. Our other Royalty are also presented cash prizes along with their trophies. The responsibility of the Royal Court is to represent the city of Moulton at numerous parades and other Chamber sponsored events. The 2009 Royal Court consists of Miss Moulton Mary Kubicek, Junior Miss Moulton Amanda Berckenhoff, Young Miss Moulton Hannah Perez, Little Miss Moulton Jaycee Loewe and Little Mr. Moulton Jayden Pustejovsky.
Our Chamber Banquet is at the beginning of March. At this event, we honor our Citizen of the Year, and we honor our Outstanding High School Senior.
Another undertaking is the two Community Wide Garage Sales the Chamber sponsors during the year. The Spring sale is held the second Saturday in April while the Fall sale one held the second Saturday in October. People come from miles around to find great bargains from the 30+ garages sales in town that day. Many local businesses provide maps for the garage sales.
The Moulton Town & Country Jamboree benefits the community by attracting over 5,000 people to Moulton for the three-day event. These individuals bring a great deal of money into the local economy during the event. This past year, we had 16 softball teams, at least 70 cook-off teams and over 75 entries in our parade. Of course the Jamboree would not be the success that it is without the great volunteers that we have.
Don’t forget Moulton’s Famous Fried Chicken on Sunday. We welcome anyone to be a part of our Jamboree or any event we sponsor during the year.
In December, we sponsor Christmas in the Heart of Texas. The snow slide, vendors, and Santa attract people from all the surrounding towns. It brings in lots of business to our community.
Once again, we will continue our annual Tour of Homes which is comprised of five beautiful homes. The income from this project finances our Downtown Beautification Fund.
The Chamber is also involved in several other events during the year in conjunction with other organizations. When called upon, we are there to help.
